Myra Zepf is the first Children's Writing Fellow for Northern Ireland. Based at the Seamus Heaney Centre for Poetry, at Queen's University Belfast, Myra's mission is to inspire kids to write their own stories

Future young writers

With this in mind, Myra and Children in Need Project Officer, Mary Fitzpatrick set out for deepest, darkest Trench Road in Derry/Londonderry.

There was a rumour that some very talented children at Sacred Heart Primary School, needed Myra's magical inspiration to kick start their writing careers.

That sparky feeling you get when you have a brilliant idea

As any writer will know, getting started is hard work. Myra is an expert when it comes to teasing out the best ideas. She helped the children to follow the twists and turns of a plot in the most surprising directions.
