This project needs YOU!

We are looking for 36 young people, aged 14+, living in the border counties of Derry, Donegal, Fermanagh, Cavan, and Monaghan.

Why not get involved in a summer project around the implications of Brexit and the idea of a border dividing the North and South of the island of Ireland?

In partnership with ICBAN, the Youthful Voices project involves the Reading Rooms model, where we create dialogue and conversations through the shared reading of selected literature.

There is a 3-day residential module (July 31 - Aug 2) at a cross-border location which will include a range of outdoor activities.

We will also invite politicians from both sides of the border to take part in the project.

When is it happening?

The planned start date of the Youthful Voices programme is July 1, and it will run through the summer.

What is involved?

Participants will be divided into groups of no more than ten, which will meet for two 1-hour sessions during the month of July. This will be followed by the 3-day residential module.

In August, 4 participants will be selected to train in Shared Learning and Facilitation (OCN Levels 2 and 3). They will be mentored as they run another two 1-hour Reading Rooms sessions with their groups in August.

How do I sign up?

If you or your organisation are interested, please contact Louise Moore for more information.
