News SEUPB visits Third Space in Belfast The Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) visited Third Space in Belfast, as part of Verbal’s ongoing project with Extern. Bringing young people together Gina McIntyre, Chief Executive Officer, and Leanne Massey, Joint Secretariat Director, joined our Queen Street office to meet Third Space staff and young people from Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, and Roscor. The event was an opportunity to reflect on how the programme is going so far. Our young participants gave testimonies to the funders about how Third Space helps with their confidence, offers new skills, and chances to meet new people and make friends. Digital storytelling We showcased a video by Gearoid McGerry from the project’s digital storytelling strand, which gives a moving account of drug use. Gearoid welcomed the opportunity to tell his story, and he hopes it will help to make a positive change in other people’s lives. Experiences like Gearoid's reflect the spirit and ethos of the Third Space programme. About the funder and the programme SEUPB is a cross-border body in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland which co-ordinates projects funded by the European Union.
