Community Lives is a new project based in Enniskillen and Omagh. It is administered by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and the Peace IV Partnership under the European Union's PEACE IV programme.

The programme is being delivered by Verbal and will have three interrelated strands. You can find out more about it here.

Community Lives project

Community Lives will bring together adults from different religious backgrounds and from community and youth groups.

The Reading Rooms model is an integral feature of the programme.

Using literature selected by Verbal, the programme will open up conversations, explore and capture the different histories of participants, map the present, and imagine a shared future together.

Volunteers - we need you!

We are now recruiting volunteers in the Omagh/Fermanagh areas. If you love reading and enjoy a good conversation, we would love to hear from you.

All Reading Rooms volunteers are trained using our bespoke, accredited OCN Level 2 course in Facilitation Skills for Shared Reading. This is a three-day course and it is supported by mentoring.

Training will take place over the summer on dates to be advised.

The Community Lives programme will run from September 2018 – January 2019.
