  1. Who we help

Criminal Justice

Verbal works with those who are currently engaged with the criminal justice system in Northern Ireland to deliver our Verbal Wellbeing Programme. We are seeking funding for a 3-year project called Verbal Wellbeing.

VERBAL WELLBEING uses our own model of talking therapy underpinned by storytelling as a tool to facilitate purposeful conversations with hard to reach vulnerable individuals. These people are at transition points in their life as they prepare for release from prison back into their communities and families or who are in their community and need support in relation to their wellbeing and community connectedness.

This programme will encourage participants to build their coping skills in the context of their mental health focusing on key areas including; relationships, new beginnings, impulsive behaviour, fear of failure and communication.

Verbal Wellbeing will enable the participants to feel better equipped to have a more positive role in their community and family and reduce re-offending behaviours.
