Culture Night 2023 - Winners

Verbal ran a short story and poetry competition for 7 - 13 years olds called The World from your Window in the run up to Culture Night 2023 (Friday 22^nd September).

Over 50 local young people submitted poems and short stories exploring culture from around the world. We were delighted with the diverse range of entries and we had 6 winners over 2 age catagories. Winners were awarded at the exhibition, young people took up our open mic and read their stories and poems out for the audience and local contemporary choir Encore performed.

1^st place: Chloe Doherty & Alexander Serna
2^nd place: Leila Mc Call Prazerez & Alana Callaghan
3^rd place: Issac Mooney & Sophie Melaugh
