Conflict textiles is an international, permanent, rotating exhibition of hand-made quilts, arpilleras (pronunciation: are-pea-air-uhs), and wall hangings. The medium was used widely by women in Chile (arpilleristas) in the 1970s and 1980s during the military dictatorship of General Pinochet.

Scraps of material and found objects were stitched into colourful quilt squares showing images of violence and human rights abuses.
