Dr Gerry Cleary Ph. D

Dr Gerry Cleary Ph. D

Dr Gerry Cleary had an academic teaching career, before joining the International Office of Queen’s University to recruit international students and facilitate university liaison. He was Assistant Professor of Intercultural Studies in I Shou University, Taiwan and teaches in the QUB Open Learning Centre.

Jason McIntosh

Jason McIntosh

Jason is a Chartered Accountant and is Senior Finance Manager at Seagate Technology where he is responsible for the Accounting group in the UK and Ireland and across a number of EMEA locations.  He previously worked in accountancy practice as an audit manager.  Jason studied an LLB in Law, and a Masters in Corporate Governance at Queen's University Belfast.  He is also on the board of Groundwork NI, where he currently chairs the Finance & Personnel Committee.

June Coates

June - now retired - worked at Seagate Technology for 24 years where she was Internal Communications and Community Engagement Manager. In this role, she was responsible for local employee communications, PR, sponsorships and community partnerships. The latter included the development and delivery of a number of STEM programmes for local schools and the promotion and facilitation of employee volunteering opportunities.

Mark Moroney

Mark Moroney, Chair

Professional engineer with extensive business experience in Ireland and North America. Served for 21 years as a senior manager in the largest high tech employer in N Ireland, Seagate Technology. Was responsible for total facilities construction and management. Hold a masters in Engineering management, a BAI in electronic engineering and a BA in economics.

Padraig Canavan

Padraig Canavan

Derry/Londonderry based, Padraig Canavan is married to Jill and they have four children. Padraig founded international software house Singularity. He chairs Hunter Apparel, Scattr, Flowforma and LitheIT. He is also on the boards of InvestNI, the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce, St Mary's College, NWRC, and U4D.

Valerie was born and brought up in Derry and now lives in London.  Her background is in policy, strategy and community engagement in local government and health services.  She works as a freelance consultant, training commissioners in health and social care.  She is also a qualified librarian.
