A Multi-Arts, story-based approach to Wellbeing
Programme Overview:
Storyteller Recovery is a structured, participation-driven programme that integrates multi-arts storytelling activities with language arts and verbal skills-based learning. Designed specifically for adults, this program offers a secure environment tailored to support individuals on their path to recovery and enhanced well-being.
Addressing Contemporary Challenges:
Recognising the exacerbated mental health challenges stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic and other societal factors, the programme employs various art forms as therapeutic tools. These artistic mediums serve as both a refuge and a means of expression, aiding participants in navigating their recovery journey.
Delivery and Target Audience:
The programme is delivered within community groups, targeting participants aged 18 and above. Participants have the opportunity to engage with peers who have undergone similar experiences, fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual support.
Programme Objectives:
Central to the initiative is the promotion of positive mental health. Participants are encouraged to reflect on proactive creative, story-based measures they can adopt to enhance their mental & emotional well-being. Furthermore, by sharing their stories and strategies, they serve as beacons of inspiration for fellow group members, creating a ripple effect of positivity and resilience.
