Schools are ideally placed to identify children and young people who would benefit from Reading Rooms.

As well as conducting Reading Rooms with whole classes, we also work with small groups and individuals with particular needs.

We have Reading Rooms in both primary and secondary schools.

Looked after children

Children and young people who are in the care system may be at greater risk of not fulfilling their potential at school.

Reading Rooms provides opportunities for looked after children to read and to learn in a safe space.

We encourage our groups and one-to-one participants to reflect on their experiences through the stories and poems we read together.

We work consistently and at the child's pace to promote resilience and improve self-esteem and confidence.
