Celebrating Seamus Heaney on home ground 2014 was a festival of poetry and writing, music, and art.

Set in and around Laurel Villa in Magherafelt, the festival was rooted in the places and spaces that resonate throughout the poet's work.

Legacy

In 2016, the celebration continued with the opening of Seamus Heaney HomePlace in Bellaghy, a permanent venue that recognises the life, art, and inspiration of Seamus Heaney.
